Sally feels very passionate about theatre being for everyone. Although many venues have improved access for audiences, opportunities for performers of all backgrounds is still an area that needs championing. For Sally, being part of The Theatre Shed offers her a distinctive opportunity for learning and sharing within inclusive theatre. Shed represents a beacon for how society could and should be more inclusive. As a neurodivergent theatre professional, Sally resolutely believes in creating a supportiveand inclusive creative environment at The Theatre Shed, using her personal experiences to understand and enable members to express themselves freely, never underestimating the potential and skills of all performers and creatives.
Her dedication to the charity centres around its distinct and invaluable work, ensuring the organisation continues to challenge conventional ideas through its unique brand of inclusive theatre. Her commitment to inclusivity led her to attain a level 3 BSL qualification, conduct training sessions on understanding disability and inclusive language for other organisations and undergraduate and postgraduate students, and trained as a bronze, silver and gold Arts Award Advisor.
